AGES 11–17 / FREE TO ENTER / EIGHT WEEKS TO BUILD
Hecho en Osa is a hackathon and science fair for young makers on the Osa Peninsula. An app, a game, a robot, a water sensor, a solar rig, an experiment: participants choose an idea, build on their own or with friends, and get help from mentors when they need it.
On Exhibition Day, they bring their work to the community, demonstrate what it does, and share what they learned. Your contribution helps grow the bitcoin prize fund that celebrates their effort, ingenuity, and real-world problem solving.
Your gift becomes a young builder’s prize.
The fund is built by the community. As the organisers state, every colón goes to a young builder on Exhibition Day, with a published record of what came in and what went out.
Prizes are paid in bitcoin on December 12. Prize categories and amounts will be announced at Spark Night, in partnership with Bitcoin Jungle.

Work at your own pace, with mentors and open check-ins to help turn the tricky parts into progress.

Show the community what you made. Explain how it works. Celebrate the builders and award the bitcoin prizes that same day.
